Enrollment Now Open for Midtown Educational Foundation’s Summer Youth Programs
WHAT: Enrollment is now open for Midtown Educational Foundation’s summer 2015 youth programs, available to 4th - 12th grade students from low–income families in Chicago.
This summer, rising 4th – 8th graders can take part in sports, arts and crafts, and exciting field trips, all while receiving character education and academic assistance to get ahead of the game for this upcoming school year!
Rising 9th graders take part in the Freshman Program, which includes all the features of the 4th – 8th grade programs, with a special emphasis on preparing students for the academic demands and personal responsibilities of high school.
Rising 10th - 12th graders may apply for paid apprenticeships exploring a variety of possible career paths, including business, engineering, hospitality, architecture, law and communications.
Summer programming isn’t limited to just students—parents can participate as well! There will be meetings, speakers and discussions all designed to give parents the tools to be successful role models for their children and support their education.
Midtown Educational Foundation provides after-school and summer programming for Chicago students in 4th – 12th grades from low-income families. Programs integrate academics, virtues and exposure to the world of opportunity beyond the classroom for each child it serves.

WHEN: Summer 2015 – Programs begin in late June and run through July or early August. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis so apply as soon as possible to avoid the waitlist!

COST: Cost ranges from $150-$275 for each summer program. Apprenticeships are free and provide students with a $400 stipend. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
