MacCormac College proudly presents its fourth Annual Learn 2 Laugh Comedy Fundraising Event. Last year, we raised over $20,000 at Learn 2 Laugh which afforded us the opportunity to provide a record breaking year of scholarships and subsidies to MacCormac students.
We want to continue to offer opportunities to students that will help them to succeed but we can’t do it alone. Your participation with Learn 2 Laugh 2016 is a fun and rewarding way to assist us. The side-splitting event will begin with an enticing dessert reception showcasing the best that Chicago has to offer, leading into the outstanding comedic performances.
STARRING: JAMES STEPHENS III
James Stephens III is one of the most versatile and entertaining comedy acts working in the industry today. He mixes the best of improvisation, comedy and music to customize each performance. One minute he’s Ray Charles, the next he’s Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, and Lil’ Wayne. He’s performed at notable venues such as the White House, Carnegie Hall with Aretha Franklin, the London Theater with Mary J Blige, and the Apollo. James’ television credits include Fox’s “The Edge” with Jennifer Aniston, the Dana Carvey Show, the Stephanie Miller Show, MTV, Comedy Central and HBO.
SPECIAL GUEST HOST: MARC PRICE
Marc Price is best known for playing Irwin "Skippy" Handleman on the '80s TV series "Family Ties starring Michael J. Fox. He is now making his mark by touring the world as a standup comedian. This isn’t too much of a surprise though as comedy runs in Marc’s family - his father Al Bernie, was also a famous comedian in his own right. Marc has been featured on Comedy Central, NBC and CBS. He also has worked as a writer and producer for a variety of television networks.
