HIV Transmissions:  Getting to Zero-Part 1

Why were African Americans only 12 percent of the population and 44% of new HIV infections in 2016? We can only reach the goal of dramatic reduction in HIV transmissions by revolutionizing the way we treat HIV awareness and prevention. Medicines that suppress the virus and make it undetectable are available, but African Americans are not taking those medications in the numbers needed. Why?  What more can be done to get to reduce new transmissions of the HIV virus?

Host Cedric McKoy and experts explore these questions in the first of two shows focused on the dramatic reduction of new HIV transmissions.
