The City of Chicago has scheduled four kick-off events as a part of INVEST South/West, the community improvement initiative launched by Mayor Lightfoot this fall.
The family-friendly events, organized by the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), will provide community stakeholders with an overview of the initiative and give the public an initial opportunity to offer feedback on investment priorities.
The meeting schedule is as follows. Participants should attend the event designated for their community area.
Englewood, Auburn Gresham and New City

Each event will include a broad overview of the initiative, performances by local artists, and an open house with planning exercises for each community area, youth activities and food prepared by local chefs.
