Book-Lovers’ Weekend Includes Storytelling Fest With Acclaimed Authors
WHAT: A Chicago summer tradition is back after a two-year hiatus. Thousands of people are expected to visit the Newberry Library for the free, 3-day indoor book fair running July 29-31, 2022.

The fest includes story sessions with acclaimed authors, including Dawn Turner – author of Three Girls from Bronzeville and recent winner of the Newberry’s inaugural $25,000 Pattis Family Foundation Chicago Book Award.
All books at the book fair are priced at $3 or less and include fiction, philosophy, history, art, cooking, children’s literature, and more. “The Newberry Book Fair is a celebration of reading, discovery, and the power of stories to bring us together,” said Daniel Greene, President of the Newberry Library. “We can’t wait to welcome readers back to the Newberry for this signature event.”
