Project SYNCERE Emerging Engineers Saturday Program

  • Dear Saturday Program Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Project SYNCERE Saturday Engineering Program, also known as the Emerging Engineers Program.  This program was created for young aspiring engineers and is a great opportunity to learn about the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) through project based learning.

The Emerging Engineers Program is designed for students who have a sincere interest in strengthening their math and science skills and a desire to learn about the STEM fields.  It was created to give younger students the opportunity to engage in topics focused on the sciences to better prepare them for pursuing STEM related careers.

The Emerging Engineers Program focuses on the importance of higher education through educational presentations and “hands-on” opportunities.  Students will spend their Saturday mornings learning how to apply math and science concepts by completing various engineering projects. There are two separate sessions, one for middle school students and one for high school students.  Our main goal is to teach students how their classes connect to the real world.

Offering an educational and interactive program for middle school and high school students is just one of the steps, Project SYNCERE is taking to fulfill its mission of developing young minds.  By focusing our services on young adults, it is our hope that the Emerging Engineer participants learn the importance and benefits of higher education, and become the next generation of leaders, innovators and engineers.

Thank you once again for your interest. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,

    Seun Phillips
    Project SYNCERE
    Program Director
