Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, the cardiovascular program at Advocate Trinity Hospital is among the finest in Chicago and Illinois for treating congestive heart failure, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2018-2019 Best Hospitals list.
Advocate Trinity was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high performing hospital in the area of treating patients with congestive heart failure.
“We are proud of this special recognition, which acknowledges our commitment to addressing health conditions that effect Chicago’s Southeast Side residents most,” says Jacquelyn Whitten, Advocate Trinity Hospital Interim President. “Heart disease – including congestive heart failure– touches the majority of our patients and individuals living in the surrounding community. Our medical staff is highly attuned to this fact. Therefore, Advocate Trinity combines high-quality treatment options with culturally-relevant patient education and support activities to maximize patient outcomes.”
In all, U.S. News & World Report honored 10 Advocate hospitals with recognition this year: Advocate Children’s Hospital, Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn; Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge; Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove; Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin; Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, and Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
Of these, nine hospitals are distinguished as Best Regional Hospitals and two – Advocate Children’s and Advocate Good Samaritan – rank nationally. Four Advocate facilities ranked in the Top 10 both within Illinois and the Chicago metro area.
Now a part of Advocate Aurora Health, the 10th largest not-for-profit health care system in the U.S., the Advocate sites join six Aurora Health Care sites on the overall U.S. News Best Hospitals list, including Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, ranked the No. 2 hospital in Wisconsin and a top national hospital.
For the 2018-19 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 158 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.
