Advocate Medical Group Office Opens at Imani Village

Advocate Health Care and Trinity United Church of Christ announce the opening of Advocate Medical Group at Imani Village. This new physicians’ office, located at 901 E. 95th Street, in Chicago, expands access to high-quality health care on the South Side and anchors the soon-to-come, mixed-use residential and commercial village to be constructed near Chicago’s Pullman neighborhood. The new center is now seeing and accepting new patients.

Advocate Medical Group at Imani Village is 11,000 square feet of newly constructed space with 12 exam rooms and space for future expansion to meet the community’s evolving health care needs. Physicians specialize in family medicine for patients of all ages, preventative care, chronic care management and obstetrics and gynecology. Additional specialties and services are available nearby at Advocate Trinity Hospital.

This is another exciting step in Advocate’s commitment to improving the health of the communities we serve and increasing ease of access to high-quality health care services for our neighbors on the South Side,” says Dr. Vince Bufalino, Chief Advocate Medical Group Officer. “The keys to preventing and managing cardiovascular disease, stroke and cancer – which occur at disproportionately high rates in our South Side communities – are patient education and convenient access to primary care. We anticipate the new AMG office at Imani Village becoming an important part of the solution for reducing these rates.”

The opening of Advocate Medical Group at Imani Village marks an important milestone in Trinity United Church of Christ’s bold vision ten years in the making – to be the first holistic, sustainable, and Green community sponsored by a faith-based entity in the city of Chicago. Once complete, Imani Village will offer housing, a fitness center, a public market, recreational and educational programming and more.

“Imani Village represents a long-term commitment to living out our liberation theology, and the partnership with Advocate Health Care is a manifestation of our focus on community wellness, initially through locally-available, excellent healthcare services. Soon after, we will expand our efforts through holistic solutions, including urban farming, recreational athletic programming and sustainable “green” construction,” says Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III, senior pastor, Trinity United Church of Christ.

A community open house and ribbon cutting event is scheduled for the evening of February 20, 2019. The public is invited.
