We are happy to team up with the U.S. Census Bureau and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Chicago to present Demystifying Census.gov, a hands-on, interactive workshop to help you better navigate the Census.govwebsite. Ileana Serrano, Data Dissemination Specialist with the U.S. Census Bureau, will be our guest presenter.
Ileana will provide an overview of the upgraded Census.gov website, with a particular focus on the American Fact Finder and Economic Census, and related demographic and data sets. She will also show you how to develop queries along specific geographies and to map the results in preparation for business planning, conducting research, developing community needs assessments, program development and market analysis. Whether you are starting a new business, launching a new product, writing a proposal or business plan; or developing a policy and advocacy campaign, you won’t want to miss this workshop. Lunch will be served.
The workshop will be held on January 29, 2019, from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm, in the Promontory Point classroom at the Polsky Exchange, located at 1452 East 53rd Street, 2nd Floor. Bring your own laptop computer.
