Under the leadership of Alderman Howard Brookins (D-21), Walmart opened its second supercenter on the Southside of Chicago in the Chatham neighborhood.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was a historic event for this neighborhood as it now reduces some of the food desert issues once prevalent in this ward and nearby communities.
GADC's Linda Johnson was interviewed by ABC's Jason Knowles about the importance of the Walmart Supercenter coming to the 21st Ward.
