Paralyzed Veterans Member Babette Peyton: Helping Veterans ...
Hello.
Thank you for being a Hero. Your continued leadership, inspiration and passion through support, promotion and/or direct participation in events and programs, touching the lives positively of many people and thus may include the youth, seniors, the disabled, active duty military / veterans and their families and sometimes even people, like me. You and your contributions maybe illuminated on plaques or on certificates, on boards, when you speak at events, in newspapers and magazines, on the radio, on TV and on the Internet and you certainly have heard the words thank you, thank you, thank you, many times. My name is Babette Peyton. I am an African-American / Native American Indian disabled lady veteran archer, who God has blessed to shoot a bow and arrow with my right hand and mouth from my wheelchair. I am seeking sponsorship support and referrals for resource needs of up to $8,000.00 to $12,000.00 a month that include a full time dual, personal care (PCA) and archery assistant. I won numerous Gold medals in 2011.
Your support will allow me to continue training across the country with the best Olympic coaches and participate in national and international competitions beating my score each time and competing shoulder to shoulder with archers who have already won Olympic / Paralympic gold, silver and bronze medals as well as current world record holders. I am asking for your support and others you may influence, to support me so I may have the opportunity to qualify for the team for the 2012 Olympic / Paralympics to be held in London this summer.
Expenses depend on the number, cost and locations of competitions, cost of time spent with my coaches. I have again been blessed to be coached best Olympic coaches in the nation. It also includes basics such as practice and range fees, hotel costs which could be higher depending on the location and archer’s participation expectation of staying at designated hotels; and other basics such as airfare, accessible van transportation, food for two and not including equipment. The vendors that deliver these products and services could be paid directly by you and/or you could provide gift cards for food or visa gift cards as well as sponsor my PCA /archery assistant.
Besides taking Aqua-therapy, strengthening, stretching and breathing exercises, I have dedicated a portion of my life of still serving my country through a non-profit organization I founded to teach young people “ How to Create their Own Job’ and/or ‘Start their own Business” called the Young Entrepreneurs of the Universe (YEU). In 2005 when I heard about the Veteran Benefit Act (VBA) passed by Congress and Presidential Executive Order 13360 to help disabled Veterans through encouraging federal agencies and prime contractors to do at least 3% of their contracting with disabled veterans small businesses who will hire other veterans. I then created YEU Veteran Initiatives, a program of YEU for the young and the young at heart, aimed to Create Job and Entrepreneurial Opportunities for Veterans, Especially those that are disabled.
Thanking you in advance, I would like to invite you to join me in launching an annual Olympic Sports Awareness Expo with basic sports training and competition in several sports allowing participation of the youth and adults while establishing an Archery Shoot Competition as a main event. As a certified Level I and Level II Archery Coach, I could in the future team with others to establish new Junior Olympic Archery Development Centers (JOAD). Olympians and Paralympians of all sports, leaders of sports programs and their sponsors could speak at schools and be honored at a reception yearly. Love You.
