Auburn Gresham is well on its way to reaching its goal of distributiong computers to 20 local business owners. The computers are an incentive for businesses participating in the Smart Communities Broadband Technology Oportunities Program (BTOP) which seeks to teach business owners about the importance of adopting internet and other digital technologies into their every day business practices.
Help me congratulate the latest businesses to complete the program and earn a brand new computer and software valued at well over $1,000. This week, the following companies completed their final training to qualify for this special incentive:
If you are in Auburn Gresham, Chicago Lawn, Englewood, Humboldt Park, or Pilsen and you want to know how YOUR business can earn a free, desktop computer for participating in the Smart Communities Business Resource Networks - please contact us today! Time is running out. The earned computer program ends December 1, 2012.
Computers are issued on a FIRSTCOME/FIRST SERVED basis. Only businesses with complete, approved paperwork will qualify. YOU MUST provide current state ID/Driver's License, Valid/Current Business License, and 2010 or 2011 BUSINESS TAXES. No exceptions or substitutions allowed - period. Submission of paperwork is NO guarantee for a computer - all paperwork must be valid and approved before a computer is purchased and given out. If you do NOT have all the required documents, please don't submit a request. THANK YOU!
Even if you don't qualify for a computer, if you are a start-up, new business, or seasoned business - you can still participate in our free classes and services.
BTOP is part of the Economic Stimulus under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is helping to revitalize our communities.
