Do you remember the classic Goldilocks and the Three Bears? As a child did you love to be read to or to reenact your favorite stories? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then bring any children ages 3-10 years old to Terrific Tales Story Time.
On Saturday, December 15, 2012, from 10am-11am, Center for Companies That Care will be partnering with the StoryBus for Terrific Tales Story Time. Each month we hold Terrific Tales Story Time sessions at the Kelly Library in Englewood. The sessions are a great way for families to learn engaging storytelling techniques from “the best storyteller in town,” The Storybook Mom, Nili Yelin. She uses interactive techniques to get the whole family engaged in reading. We are thrilled to have the StoryBus join Nili in promoting family literacy at our December session.
The StoryBus is a 37-foot Winnebago filled with everything needed for children to have an up close and personal interaction with their favorite classic stories. For this special collaboration, StoryBus will be presenting Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The bus will be outfitted with child-sized characters and objects from the story. Not only do the children get to hear a professional storyteller read to them, they also gain hands-on experiences with the classic fairytale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
We hope to see you for this free, fun-filled, interactive story time session. Come be entertained, receive a free book, and enjoy some delicious snacks!
