Local bank to offer identity theft prevention and shredding programs

"Putting Your Financial House in Order" will take place on April 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Urban Partnership Bank's new Greater Grand Crossing branch, 7801 S. State St. In addion to the program, anyone can bring their old documents, bills, receipts and other non-essential papers for safe and secure recycling to the program's free Shred Day event from noon to 2:00 p.m.
Admission is free on April 24, however space is limited and advance registration is required only for attending the "Putting Your Financial House in Order" program. "Putting Your Financial House in Order" and Shred Day as well as all Money Smart Week events are open to the public at businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, nonprofits and government agencies througout the Chicagoland area.
