Save the Fee, CEP Free Tax Site Last Day is April 15th!

April 15 is around the corner. CEP -- with partners and 800-member volunteer corps -- will provide free tax help to Illinois families looking to meet the filing deadline. 

In 15 communities, CEP will be providing help to individuals making under $25,000 and families making under $50,000--helping them navigate the tax code and receive all of the credits and deductions they are due.

For families in more complicated tax and financial situations, we also provide free, year-round support:

• After April 15, we will be hosting Money Action Days, one-day events where clients can get free tax help and money advice.
• Legal services through our Tax Clinic. We help with collections, audits, employee vs. contractor disputes, innocent spouse relief and other IRS issues.
• Financial coaching and access to financial products.
• Workshops and presentations on key tax and financial topics to partners and residents of the communities.
