BRAVE Youth Leader's "I Care for Peace" Month, May 2015 (Save the Date)

Greetings,
Here in Chicago, there's no secret that violence is prevalent and a common norm to the youth that live in the urban communities of our great city. Many youth, suffer from hopelessness do to the nature and environment of violence that plagues their communities and schools. That is why every year, our violence prevention youth council known as the BRAVE Youth Leaders dedicates a annual campaign to peace called "I Care Month". BRAVE is made up of teens ranging in age from 13 to 19 from various high schools around the city. We are based out of the ARK of St. Sabina, a youth center and safe haven in the Auburn-Gresham community.
I Care Month is a time we dedicate to having peace led events as well as giving ourselves the opportunity to exemplify peace to our city in giving effort to being concerned about the progress and safety of our youth. I'm inviting you to join the movement and be apart of the "I Care" campaign because our youth need alternate ways to express themselves other than violent actions. I have attached the flyer and event Hoops for Peace registration form, so that you may learn and register your youth for the I Care events.

Also want to personally invite you and your great young leaders to be apart of the "Take Back", our violence prevention youth summit on Sat. May 16th since this will be the moment in when all youth can come together to share their experiences, thoughts and solutions on how we can make the Chicago-land area a better place to live.We are hoping that each youth group will bring at least 10 youth to the summit.
Please have your youth to register for Show Your Talent on-line at bit.ly/showyourtalent2015.
