Dear Perspectives Family,
We are excited to announce that Perspectives and the “I Am For Peace” movement are the cover story of the latest issue of One Day — the alumni magazine of Teach For America (TFA). The printed edition was already sent out to more than 60,000 TFA alumni — some of you may have already received a copy — and will be available to the general public digitally soon.
The story details how the A Disciplined Life education model at Perspectives cultivates young people to become leaders for justice in their own communities and beyond. The One Day story chronicles the journey of student leaders Razia Hutchins, Janeya Cunningham and Maurice Young as they become community activists for peace and leadership who successfully launched a movement that is affecting thousands.
Born out of an A Disciplined Life class discussion about a young man who fell victim to gun violence on the South Side of Chicago, the “I Am For Peace” movement has grown from a critical conversation to a tangible series of projects ranging from a documentary film to peace film screenings to summer peace camps to international student peace talks all focused on building ethical leaders.

If you received the latest One Day magazine in the mail, I encourage you to read the article. We will send out the website link to the story when it is available. In the meantime, here is a PDF version of the story (3.3MB).
Our students need your support to build a more ethical world. Please invest in their vision by contributing $26, which represents the 26 Principles of A Disciplined Life.
Thank you for your continued support of Perspectives, the A Disciplined Life education model and all the work we do to groom the next generation of ethical leaders.
With gratitude,
