Community Grand Rounds | Managing diabetes in the community!

Recently, dozens of community members attended a Community Grand Rounds talk at the Oakwood Community Center. The event focused on how healthy food choices and lifestyle changes can help people avoid or manage diabetes. Plant-based diets, medication, sleep and exercise were among the topics. Bonita Kindle Bray (pictured), nutrition and culinary educator for Whole Cities Foundation, provided a healthy cooking demonstration. UChicago Medicine’s Dr. Doriane Miller is the project director of the initiative.
