Affordable Internet by Comcast
Published: August 19, 2011
Nowadays the Internet is used for almost everything we do. It has become so involved in our lives that it's almost necessary to have it. For most Chicago families this is easier said than done.
Internet companies have prices going through the roof! Along with other bills, high Internet prices can make it impossible for families to obtain it.
Fortunately, Comcast has recently partnered with the city of Chicago to make Internet usage more affordable. Families with at least one child enrolled in a Chicago Public School and receives free lunch qualify for Internet service for only $9.95/month.
To Qualify:
- Be located where Comcast offers Internet service
- Have at least one child who receives free school lunch through the National School Lunch Program
- Have not subscribed to any Comcast Internet services within the last 90 days. Cable and other non-Internet services do not count. If a family has had Comcast Internet within the last 90 days, they can wait until the 90 days have passed, and apply again).
- Not have an overdue Comcast bill or unreturned equipment.
