Join the Chicago Studies Program for a Faculty Fireside Chat with Professor Harold Pollack of the School of Social Service Administration, who is also Co-Director of the UChicago Crime Lab. He will discuss why Chicago's youth homicide problem is so acute and offer constructive suggestions for reducing lethal violence among youth. In particular, he will discuss promising results from a randomized trial in sixteen Chicago public schools that significantly reduced arrests for violent offenses among the participants.
