My name is Shamykia Mables and I work for the community center Greater Auburn Greshman Development Corporation (GAGDC). GAGDC has 8 interns but another intern and I was chosen to work at Columbia College. This being my first job, I was excited to see where this work experience would take me.
Traveling Downtown to Columbia College Monday-Thursady was a fun experience for me. Researchng and learning about different kinds of bacteria and how they effect our everyday lives was a fun topic to learn about. I didnt know much about bacteria or how bacteria could effect everyones everyday lives. But my discovery about bacteria was very shocking. I worked with 3 different bacteria, 1485, E.Coli, and Norma Flora. I was trying to figure out which bacteria was resistence to ultra violet light. A ultra violet light is very dangerous, it could cause skin cancer. That was a very interesting fact that I learn. Another fact that I learn was Norma Flora was a type of bacteria that was on your skin.
But my journey ended at Columbia College. I had to go to Freshamn Connection. Going to Freshamn Connection interferred with my experience at Columbia College. But that didnt stop my experience in working. The interferrence led me to Greater Aubrun Greasham Development Corporation (GAGDC). At GAGDC the people are caring helpful and very kind. Working on Get In Chicago Database at GAGDC is fun and it teaches you alot.
