ComEd Calls on Third Graders to Design Bill Envelope

                                                 One week left for submissions!

Prizes - $250 for students and $1,500 for schools and designs featured on ComEd’s bill envelope

CHICAGO (Oct. 9, 2015) – ComEd’s “Power of Pictures” Bill Envelope Drawing Contest, will close on Oct. 16 and the company is encouraging interested students to submit their entries for a chance to win a prize and have their picture featured for one month on ComEd bill envelopes.

The contest challenges third graders to select one of five different themes (Lights ON!; Switch ON Summer; Power Protectors; It’s So Easy Being Green; and ComEd CARES) and submit a drawing of their own creation that best represents what their chosen theme means to them. Students can enter the contest as individuals or through participating schools.

“The Power Pictures contest is a fun way to engage with students - our future customers - and inspire them to learn more about the importance of electrical safety, energy efficiency and helping those in need,” said Val Jensen, senior vice president of ComEd Customer Relations.

Drawings from each theme will be posted to the ComEd Facebook page, Facebook.com/ComEd, for popular vote.  Any visitor to ComEd’s Facebook page will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite pictures.

The drawing from each theme that receives the most votes will appear on the outside of the ComEd billing envelope for one month in 2016. The winners also will receive a $250 prize, and their school will receive a $1,500 prize if the winning student participated via school registration.

Students or schools can visit ComEd.com/PowerPictures for complete contest details, including rules and frequently asked questions.
