Published: December 15, 2015
Englewood Codes Demo Day: The Englewood Codes project instructs youth on how to design, build and maintain their own multimedia websites. Through hands on instruction, individual activities and group projects, students learn how to build cell phone apps, code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript while appropriating skills needed for success in college, careers and entrepreneurship.
At the end of the program, participants will showcase their websites and apps during a final Demo event on Tuesday, December 15 from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm at 815 West 63rd Street, 2nd Floor (Chicago). The students represent the following high schools: Team Englewood, Johnson College Prep, Lindblom and the Magic Johnson Alternative High School. 8th grade students from the following elementary schools will also present demos: Crenshaw, Sherwood and Luke O’Toole Elementary.
