Auburn Gresham Digital Youth Network Sends Condolences for "Brother Mike" Hawkins

Chicago poet, activist, mentor, and multimedia educator Mike Hawkins, better known as Brother Mike, has died at age 38, according to several sources close to Hawkins. Brother Mike's services are Wednesday December 10th 11am-2pm Second Baptist Church, 1717 Benson Ave Evanston, IL. Celebration of Life, December 21st, 2-8pm Little Black Pearl, 1060 E. 47th.

Haunted House in Auburn Gresham's Foster Park

Auburn Gresham's Foster Park is hosting a Halloween for a creepy haunted house, for kids. The Chicago Park District event is slated for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31st, at the neighborhood Foster Park at 1440 W. 84th St. The cost of the haunted house is $3 per person.

New health care services coming to Englewood

St. Bernard Hospital will break ground on its new Ambulatory Care Center on Wednesday, October 29 at 10 a.m., at the corner of 63rd Street and Stewart Avenue in Chicago.
